Ana "Hurricane" Julaton, Pangasinense

World Boxing Organization Super Bantamweight Champion and Filipina Boxing sensation, Ana "Hurricane" Julaton is a Pangasinense. Born  Luciana Bonifacio Julaton and based in San Francisco, California, she traces her Filipino roots in Pozorrubio, Pangasinan. Julaton just turned 20 last July 5. She is now in Pangasinan to visit her family and relatives in Pozorrubio (as featured in Balitang Amianan earlier and as mentioned by Jorge Guerrero, the news program's anchor through facebook) and go to the province's capitol for a courtesy call with Gov. Espino.  Her current victory was a split decision against Maria Elena Villalobos of Mexico at “Rumble at the Rama XII” at the Casino Rama in Rama, Ontario, Canada last June 30, 2010.

Ericson Obosa, a former Tour Sprint King and the pride of Manaoag, Pangasinan wins the Liquigaz-LPGMA 2010 Tour of Luzon eliminations last November 29, 2009. He bested outsprinted Joseph Millanes and Manule Naluz to win the race.

Ocampo Upsets Hung-hsiang in World 10-Ball

Unheralded Filipino Jomar Ocampo took a significant step in his qualifying bid from Group G with a stunning 9-8 victory over Wang Hung-hsiang of Chinese-Taipei.

The 22-year-old Ocampo, a qualifier from Alaminos, Pangasinan, whose only major win in the local circuit came last year when he topped the Search for Billiards Idol 2, fought back from 4-8 down to beat the second seeded Taiwanese in Group G.
