Three Giants Join Forces to Launch the New University of Pangasinan-Phinma

University of Pangasinan-PHINMA Our Heritage. Our Future.

Last November 15, 2009, the Pangasinense community came together for a Thanksgiving Mass and the Inauguration of the new University of Pangasinan – PHINMA at the UPang Student Plaza.

Newly-appointed Archbishop Socrates B. Villegas, D.D. of Lingayen-Dagupan presided over the holy mass, in order to give thanks for the safety and well-being of Pangasinan, and for the generosity of UPang employees who volunteered their service during the onslaught of super typhoon Pepeng. This is one of the Archbishop’s first masses since his appointment in September.

The Inauguration marked the official launch of the University of Pangasinan-PHINMA to the public. Members of the Board of Trustees and of the Administration Council presented the new look of UPang, as well as future plans to improve the school. Guests included representatives from the business, education, medical, and government sectors, as well as members of the UPang community.

As the first and oldest university joins forces with PHINMA and Victory Liner, new and modern facilities, stronger course offerings, and an increasingly competent and caring faculty come together to create a bigger, better University of Pangasinan-PHINMA for the community.
